Move OS X menu bar

I have my Macbook Pro connected to a larger LCD monitor, such that I can see both the screen on the Mac and the LCD monitor, where the mouse cursor travels freely between the two. The menu bar is at the top of the Mac display. Is there a way to get it to the top of the LCD display?

Hello,

In the display preferences, you can choose to have the external monitor as the primary monitor.  This in turn should allow you to move the dock over to the external monitor.

You set the display with the menu bar by dragging it from one monitor in the display preferences to the other.
