Targetted Discovery (in SMP) run on the server VLANs

One of the tasks I’ve had in lower half of list is to get a Targetted Discovery (in SMP) run on the server VLANs for each of my companys sites
This will involve:
•      identifying and listing all of the server VLANs
•      executing a Discovery against them

Has anyonecome accross any hopefully (free tools) for doing this? or indeed any other mechanisms,

You can try spiceworks, it free and it scans the subnets for servers, device's etc, is that what you were looking for?
