sbs & printer server

Hello,

I'm searching to the best ay to manage my server, i have actualy three server:
one sbs 2011
one windows 2008 r2 with sql server
and the third one, a windows 2008 r2 as share file.
the two 2008 r2 as just member with no over role

I want to add the printer server role, to the third indows 2008 r2 , but i don't know if i can directly add the role to the server or i need to some other role to the sbs or the server file

Hi,

You can add the print server role to any of your servers. As long as the server is part of the domain and the client machines can see is in the AD.

When your using a print server, you tell the cliecnt machine where to look for the server and in turn the printers on that server. Print services on a windows server do not broadcast themselves.
