DIV UL Spacing Prob lems with CSS

Sorry to bother with this however this is doing me in

this page
http://www.ftvdirect.co.uk/headernew.asp

when viewed in ie, the coloured bar is snug to the menu
when viewed in chrome there is a 1cm space, I cannot see where this is and am getting frustrated.

Can anyone shed any light on this for me please

add  margin-bottom: 0; to the UL

here is #menu UL

#menu ul {
padding:0px;
margin:0px;
display:block;
display:inline;
visibility:visible;
z-index:1000;
margin-bottom:0px
}

adding margin bottom did not change anything , but thanks anyway

i'm not getting this css have you included it in the page (#menu UL is not present)
I have tested this by adding it directly to the style attribute of the ul
