Hi!

It will do all that you ask, however trusting it is a matter of opinion. I personally do not and would much rather use a 3rd party program.

Best thing to do is to test it for a few days, setup a few backup jobs and schedual them and see how much if at all it fails, and how much you can retrive. One thing I will say for it is the user interface is quite good.

I imagine you would need to setup your SBS server to how it was (as in programs wise) and then start the restore as it will probably only restore files not settings and services.

Hi:

The option in the Server Mangement Console to backup your SBS will make a block level backup of the SBS server, including all functions that ship with it, and SQL if added to it.  Some users opt to make a SQL backup of their SQL databases in addition, but there is no need to do this unless you like the additional piece of mind.  The best way to know if you are getting good backups it to attempt some test restores to your server, chosing to restore a sample of files to alternatate locations on the drive system.

SBS backup will not backup any other servers or stations.

To restore from scratch, you boot on the installation medial and choose "repair your computer".
