URL Filtering on Cisco Pix 506e

When I do a "show version" on my Pix 506e, under licensed features it says URL-filtering enabled.  Do I have to buy a third party software to filter URL's using the PIx?   Thanks.

yes, at the time of pix you could either choose between Websense and N2H2

I can't say for certain about the PIX but the ASA does some VERY LIMITED on-box URL filtering using Regex.  It is not scaleable at all, but it can be done.  Keep in mind, though, that Regex is very CPU intensive, and that that it cannot look at HTTPS traffic, only unencrypted traffic.  For anything of any real value you need an off-box solution such as a Websense or Cisco Ironport S-series box.

Thanks.  Just so I  understand, the Pix says that URL-filtering is enabled, but I would have to purchase Websense or Ironport to use it right?
