Have you tried uninstalling any AntiVirus solution you may be running. Just disabling it may not be sufficient as that meay leave the filter drivers active.<br />
Also consider bootingwith only Microsoft services active (using msconfig.exe).

Trying to install Backup Exec 2010 R2 on a SBS 2008. &nbsp;I'm getting the following error in the middle of installation, causing it to roll back:<br />

The only solutions I have seen on EE and googling the error are a command prompt fix, and to reinstall the Windows installer. &nbsp;Neither one has worked. &nbsp;Here's Symantec's KB page for this issue, with both of these solutions: <br />

The term "Backup" means the methods and processes involved to copy computer data (system data as well as application data) to media other than the ones where the data originally live (disk, tape, optical, cloud).
