Does the browser leave temp files around when using SSL?

    From my understanding, items that are normally cached like images, etc will still be cached normally, unless the hosting site specifies the no-cache tag or similar html header.

    I believe IE also remembers the "drop-down" cache, ie if you are on an SSL site, it will remember plain-text values that are submitted via forms.

    And of course it stores history.

    Best practice is to always clear history/cache after using secure sites which demand security.
