Does the browser leave temp files around when using SSL?

1 Solution
From my understanding, items that are normally cached like images, etc will still be cached normally, unless the hosting site specifies the no-cache tag or similar html header.

I believe IE also remembers the "drop-down" cache, ie if you are on an SSL site, it will remember plain-text values that are submitted via forms.

And of course it stores history.

Best practice is to always clear history/cache after using secure sites which demand security.

Best of luck
