Auto accept meeting when dragging to calendar 2007

I use Outlook 2007 and I was recently sent a meeting request from another user in my company.  I hadn't accepted the meeting request yet but dragged it to my calendar as a reminder.  The meeting request was automatically accepted.  If there a way to turn that option off.  I would like to drag the meeting request to my calendar and be able to wait a few days before accepting or rejecting.
Any help is appreciated.

    Accepted Solution

    Check tools>Options>Calendar Options
    Resource Scheduling

Make sure all auto accept Options are turned Off.

This way when you are invited to a meeting
Once you have read the Invite (Not yet accepting) it will be added to your Calendar as Tentative

Now if you are dragging an appointment from a shared calendar, which you are an invited attendee too, into your calendar, that you have not yet viwed

Outlook automatically marks these meetings as busy.
Since its marked as busy and your a required guest, it would show as being accepted.

Best practice would be to view them via your inbox.
If you want to accept it, accept it there.
