Server 2008 R2 SP1 Network Discovery Problem

Just installed Server 2008 R2 SP1 on two computers on a simple hub, testing environment only.  Can ping each by IP or Name.  Not running DNS and no active directory.  However, can't get network discovery to work.  Enabled network discovery on both PCs via network sharing for network profile.

Using workgroup/ no active directory as of yet, still testing mode.
Can map drive, can ping each other IP or computer name.
Enabled UPNP and SSDP services.
Installed SP1
Can't be this hard to do a basic function?

    Accepted Solution

The following services must be enabled:

    DNS Client
    Function Discovery Resource Publication
    SSDP Discovery
    UPnP Device Host

When your network was detected, did you set it to work or home? Public will not map.
