reinstall WSUS on SBS2008
I tried to move the WSUS database from the c drive to the e drive where there is more space on my SBS2008 server. After that WSUS stopped updating workstation. I tried to follow the directions in this http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd443475%28WS.10%29.aspx article to fix it and It can't get past the part where its says to run wsussetup from the DVD. As near as I can tell the errors all indicate that it can't connect to the database so it can't UNINSTALL. This is a true statement as there are no longer database files on the server anywhere. I have run out of room on my c drive and need to put wsus on a different drive with more space. Everytime I run wsussetup it tries to uninstall and I can't make it install. WSUSSetup.log WSUSSetupmsi-111024-1149.log
Did you use Management Studio to move the database?

I believe I did, yes, however, now there is no database in existance after running the uninstall
I believe you need to have that database to uninstall. I would double check the source and destinations where you were moving it and see if the mdf and ldf's remain.
WSUS includes a command line utility for moving the content easily.
The following describes the best way to move the database.
