"Publishing Infrastructure" and 'Modify Navigation' missing WSS3.0
I am trying to get subsites to show up under our main tabs in SharePoint 2007/WSS3.0 (SBS 2008), which 'should' be done under the Modify Navigation. However, I do not have this option and I am also not seeing the "Office Sharepoint Server Publishing" options in my 'Site Features' or 'Site Collection Features'.
What do I need to do to get these items listed in my Features area so I can then get my Modify Navigation working?
Thanks.

Hmmm...
Any other way of getting the "Modify Navigation" option working then?
or
Another way of getting the "Top Link Bars" menu to have levels?
Thanks.

You would have to use CSS and change the Master page.
See here for a MSDN Blog entry http://blogs.msdn.com/b/modonovan/archive/2008/05/30/custom-navigation-in-sharepoint-the-full-monty.aspx
and here for a suggestion involving a WSP that can be downloaded from CodePlex: http://cregan.wordpress.com/2008/05/09/wss-navigation-flyouts-security-trimming-custom-nav-items/

I ended up finding a completely different solution.
As far as I know, you need the Server version (MOSS or SharePoint 2010 Server) for the Publishing feature. It is not included in WSS 3.0 or SharePoint 2010 Foundation.
