hard drive failure alert HP proliant

we have got HP Pro Liant 380G7 server and setup the storage with 3 x 1TB drive in RAID5, is there any settings on HP server where we can setup the alert if any drive fails.
Is there any option on HP Array config uility tool?
in RAID5 with 3 drives, 1 drive failure shouldn't crash the system?

I use IBM servers, but the same arrangement. Going backwards:

3. One drive failure should not crash the system. Never has for me.
2. Your raid manager should display drive errors for you. The RAID server manager may be a different piece of software to the configuration utility.
1. A good drive will have a basic Green LED = good; Red LED = bad/off line. A visual inspection will tell you if a drive is bad.

1 drive failure in a raid5 is should not impact you as long as you have your raid rebuild done before you lose another.

As for monitoring, monitoring in HP Is typically done with HP System Insight Manager (SIM) via snmp traps. not sure if you can do it on a individual client, but there might be some options in the OS software after you install the smart start drivers.

For as single server you don't have to bother with Insight Manager, assuming Windows if you have the Proliant Support Pack installed you can use the even notification service to send you email. Just run HP Management Agents Event Notifier Configuration Wizard (start -> HP system tools I think) to setup SMTP email notification.
