We have a customer, who's website is built in Visual Objects(VIO), and the problem is that right now they want to optimize their site via SEO.<br />

Their fear is that using links through *.exe file can be detrimental to the crawlability/usability of the website from the perspective of number of search engines, due to security concerns for search engine visitors primaly.<br />

Actually I couldn't find any reference on that, but I can understand their view also.<br />
<br />
So my question is there a way to somehow mask the exe file, via external php call or something? <br />

Sadly the exe file is that heart of the whole website, it's runs the database and also the layout, we cannot ignore it while optimizing.<br />
