Servers should be cautious about depending on URI (which includes URLs) lengths above 255 bytes, because some older client or proxy implementations may not properly support these lengths.

I have already seen that link. But query is

1. Is this information correct?
2. For the safari browser it is written - "At least 80,000 characters will work. I stopped testing after 80,000 characters." How can I get the exact data in case of safari?

it's a very bad practice to use so long URI, use post instead
are you sure the server that handles that requests can get so long query strings?

No even I don't think that it is a good idea to use such a long querystring, but atleast I should have a correct data browserwise and versionwise.
