Cannot create an instance of OLE DB provider "OraOLEDB.Oracle" Using linked server
Hi Experts
I am creating a linked server to SQL 2008 64bit to an Oracle DB, I have installed the Oracle 64bit instant client (11.2) and can connect to the Oracle DB using A system DSN, I have installed the Oracle Data access components and in SQL server have st the OraOLEDB.oracle to allow inprocess, however when I create a linked Server I get the error message
Cannot create an instance of OLE DB provider "OraOLEDB.Oracle" for linked server "RIMS_TRS"
Im thinking that some environment variable isnt set or the dll isnt correctly registered but im cluting at straws at the moment.
