I installed a fresh vcenter 5 and added new vsphere 5 hosts.
Now if I create a virtual machine and afterwards edit the virtual machine settings, I get an Error:
The Server fault 'InvalidArgument' had no message. But the change is still done. I already tried to Remove and add the virtual machines but didnt help. It happens to all virtual machines. I dont get an error wenn I connect direktly to the Host und edit the settings there.
Only error I can find is at the windows event viewer/System Schannel #36887.

    Accepted Solution

Had to reset the IIS SSL Certificate.

    Expert Comment

IIS is not part of the vCenter, so it should not be the problem nor the solution.

    Had exactly the same problem.,
I reconnect the host to the vCenter again.
And then the issue was gone.
