I am tryin got use GPO to relocate users "Desktop" to a folder on out file server using


but i get the error in the title

can anybody suggest why?

    How did you configured Share and Security (NTFS) permissions on a share/folder "USERS" ?

    I think you might have given target forlder location and chose (this is the default I think) create a folder for each user under the root path.

    if it is the case remeove the %USERNAME%

    In addition take a look at this TechNet article that goes into the Share and NTFS permissions

    Can you navigate to  \\server\users from that users machine logged in as a user?

    1st make sure all users have access to the path you provided
