Office 2010 not Collate Printing with Ricoh Africi SP 8100 DN on Win 7 Pro

Hey EE,

Let me jump right into the Issue at Hand,
I have a Ricoh Aficio SP 8100DN Printer on Windows 7 Pro with Office 2010,
When Printing from Word or any Office application in that matter Collated Printing does not work at all, Even selecting 1,2,3- 1,2,3 or 1,1,1 -2,2,2 -3,3,3 no matter which I select it keeps on printing Un-collated every time.
I’m using the Vender Driver Updated one from the Vender Webpage.
I re-installed Office 2010 as well as the Printer.

Any Idea what this can be?

Kind Regards,

Vendor usually ships different DRV versions: PCL, PS, ecc.. If the issue is with one kind of DRV have you already tryed with another one?

I can only use RPCS with the printer otherwise some Configurations and Printer Feature do not work that we need.
RPCS is 8.61 dated 24/05/2011. PCL6 Universal and is 3.7 dated 18/08/2011. I undestand PCL6 (not Universal) and PCL 5e are old (2008) and might not cover all features but I'd be surprised if the PCL6 Universal would not too. Do you confirm you've already tried PCL6 Universal? If yes, you confirm It does not cover all features? If no, please give it a try.
Well I never did test the PCL drivers, for Nashua the Printer supplier informed me that the printer Must run on RPCS so that our Features do work. So, truly Sorry can’t do that for you.
You are not doing that for me. It's for you. Anyway I gave you a suggestion. It's up to you decide to give it a try or not.
Thanks for the suggestion Strivoli, will test the PCL DRV, any other idea thou?
Hey,
Oky so i tested all Drivers PS, PCL, PCL5 & 6, with all my Win 7 x32 Desktops and no good news.
I even booted in Safe mode and Removed the C:\Windwos\system32\Spool\Drive\w32x86\3 files.
As well as in the registry and reinstalled the Drivers.
No luck at all.
I truly hope there is a solution for this Problem ¿
On an affected PC: try printing a PDF. Does Collate work as expected?
With PDF it prints fine as need be with Collate.
I'll set a test box as similar as possible to your scenario and run some tests. I should be back with some results this afternoon or tomorrow morning.
Oky, thanks a lot for that, truly Appreciate the effert with the test box.
Let me know if you need more info about the scenario on my side.
Have you tried the postscript driver?  That sometimes works when others aren't.

I've setup the test box with W7 x64 Ultimate + Office 2010 H&B 32bit. I don't have a Ricoh, as a result I've run my tests on my HP 2430. Collate and Uncollate work as expected. Please kindly download DOC file from this page: http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?displaylang=en&id=22234
Use the downloaded DOC to run a print test exactly as indicated on the ScreenShot attached. First print Collated and the Uncollated. Works? User generated image
Hello strivoli:

Truly sorry to waist your time with this, I have spoken with my Head office IT department, They will remove all Printer Server configuration from my server (NO Access to do this from my side) once that is done I will reinstall the printers locally on the PC and test. Once I have a solution to this all I'll post my results,

Thanks again for testing but did not work the Doc.

Hey ScriptAddict
Please Read comments above about PS drivers.
But thanks for the Help
