Linking Lync 2010 in Exchange 2010 SP1 that is operating in order hosting

Friends okay.

Here the company will acquire the Exchange 2010 Hosting version but because we have several different segments of business in Brazil.

Doubt is the following, I would also acquire Lync 2010.

But as we bring everything here to Sao Paulo, I would like to bring all 37 domains here and put everything in only one mode Exchange 2010 hosting.

My question is this, that I install Lync 2010, I need to put the server that will run Lync 2010 in the field of my main mode exchange 2010 hosting.

This would be the main domain of my Active Directory and Exchange 2010: www.domain.com.br.

And the remaining 36 domains would be this: www.test1.com.br and www.test2.com.br and www.test3.com.br and so on.

But as I will have several areas of different companies, if I make the configuration interconnect Lync 2010 with OWA will not work because it will be different domains.

And in the main-domain, where will be the AD and Exchange 2010, only in this domain administrators will access.

The other companies will be in different domains that we create within organizations understand how to exchange 2010.

For example, in company with the domain will www.test1.com.br 30 Exchange users and also users of Lync 2010 30.

But the company will have 50 www.test2.com.br Exchange users but we do not have any User in Lync 2010.

So in this way the domain of the company www.test1.com.br can not see or talk to domain users www.test2.com.br.

Thank you for helping me in this.

Hello ?
Avatar of Akhater
my best advise is don't do anything now wait just one month till December

Exchange SP2 is going to be released and SP1 hosting mode will exist no more so, if you install sp1 hosting mode now, you will be stuck with it for the rest of your life

Also Lync 2010 hosting support (multi-tenant) is going to be released around the same time.

My goodness, now I'm scared.
You're telling me that the mode Exchange hosting will not exist anymore?

Was it?

But this has no logic infomração, here in Brazil, two large companies are working and providing mailboxes for your customers using this technology from Microsoft, they are:

http://www.locaweb.com.br/produtos/exchange/planos.html

http://www.uolhost.com.br/exchange/

Necromancer you have this information in the way that Exchange hosting will be discontinued by Microsoft?

Thank you for helping me with this information, it was very, very concerned because I bought the hosting exchange 2010 SP1 and lack only buy Lync 2010.

Thank you.
as long as "Buying" is concerned you don't need to worry about it sp2 won't be a separate license. Just wait a couple of weeks and start directly with exchange 2010 sp2 and you will be ahead of your competition since they will need to migrate to a totally different forest
So for what I understand, the hosting mode has reached its end, still having the same support from microsoft.

as I have already migrated all of my 37 domains for hosting mode, now I have to recreate all my insfraestrutura for the exchange in local mode.

my doubt is, can I migrate all my 37 domains in Exchange 2010 SP1 and SP2 only when you exit the upgrade it?

I could do this?

Already Lync 2010 seem to have support for working with multiple domains, as well as Exchange 2010 SP1 support in local mode, this information gives?

Thank you.
You will need to creating a total new infra/forest from SP2 and then migrate from SP1 hosted to SP2, the good thing is that you will be able to provide exchange/Lync/UM all in multitenant mode
I understand.

then the right thing to do is install the operating system again and install the domain controller and Exchange 2010 SP1.

after that will reconfigure all 37 domains and all mail boxes of users, but will leave without Lync 2010.

In December I upgraded to SP2 and only after this update Lync 2010 to buy the support of all my domains.

I am sure in my thinking?
and ? please...
please.....

I see.

Indeed, Microsoft as always, you never know what to do consistently.
Imagine how this will work for the entire planet that already use it in order hosting.

The desire is to give this product and find solutions for corporate email such as Zimbra.

Thank you friends.
I hear your pain but don't give up on exchange it is a wonderful product
one thing I forgot to ask.

I'm putting the whole stuff again to move all my mailboxes to Exchange 2010 SP1 but in normal mode.

so I will disable the Exchange 2010 SP1 hosting mode, since it will no longer exisit.

you know when I can go only SP2 upgrade?

as it only comes out in December, has wanted to leave everything here ready in December and just do the update to SP2.

Thank you.
I don't advise you to do anything now, we should wait for the supported documentation of Microsoft
perfect.

so I'll leave everything as is and come back in December to post my experience here.

Thank you once again.
