HP M3035xs Output Bin Full

I am having a problem with an HP M3035xs continually reporting that the output bin is full.  If I press the plastic tabs down in the output area it will resume printing, but I have to stick my hand in there after almost every page.  How do I fix this?

The plastic tab is what tells the printer the tray is full. If it is somehow stuck in the full position, the printer will report a full output tray. In your case it appears something is pushing it out of the rest position. If you can't see what is doing that you'll need to remove the covers to have a closer look.

I just wanted to report back that I didn't want to remove the covers and found that taping a penny to the plastic tab seems to have "fixed" the problem.  I realize this is a bit MacGyver and not really a fix, but may help someone else short on time and in a pinch.  :)

This was the quickest fix to get the printer back running.
