not able to install office 2010 on windows server 2003 r2

dear sir
                   i am not able to install office 2010 on windows 2003 r2 , as when i click the setup file i can see first windows asking to click the option to install  office . but when i click on it nothing appears

    I would look at event viewer and see if there are any errors related to the time you tried this. Also run task manager (Ctrl+Shift+Esc) and see if there are any setup processes running.

    under applications in event id its giving a error of event id 5000.

    Sorry for the delay in responding.

    As a quick check, look in the program files\microsoft office directory and see if there is anything there. Don't delete it, but rename the directory to see if that helps. Try the setup again and change the name back if it doesn't help.

    I'm wondering now if there is a conflicting or corrupted file somewhere. If you could copy and paste the actual error, maybe it will help.
