Windows 2008 - adding unallocated disk space to an existing volume
I have a server with 300GB SAS RAID 1 drives.
Drive C: is about 60GB.
Drive D: is about 180GB
Drive 0 is set to basic disk.
I have 40GB of disk space that is unallocated that I want to add to drive D:
Do I need to convert Drive 0 to dynamic before I can add that 40GB to drive D: ?

You can extend a basic disk as long as the space is contiguous.
