If you overwrite the file on your system and sincronize your iPhone the &quot;newer&quot; version should be updated on the iPhone.<br />
Also you can copy the old file to another locationon your system and put the new file on the folder where itunes reads the data.<br />

That is true, and that did work. &nbsp;But it requires deletion of all content on the iPhone, and then sitting there while my modest 656 files are replaced. &nbsp;That makes so little sense...

Yes, you are right; I haven't looked at the options. &nbsp;For some silly reason, I wasn't expecting copying a single file to involve rocket science!<br />
