Hi Experts.

I need some help. I have a dead workstation and I have an image from a workstation with win 7 OS that is running on the network in a production environment. I got it by doing system back and it gave me the back up of the system as WIM FILE.

I want to use this WIM file image on the dead workstation but I need to generalize it so it does not take the same computer name, SID, extra.

Can you please let me know how can I generalize the WIM files.

Thank you so much inadvance. I am really in trouble if I do not bring this computer up and running by tomorrow morning and to make it worst it is located in a remote location.

Thank you

Thank you sir. I will look at it next time but the issue is resolved as I reimaged the system and did a sysprep before joining it to the domain. Cross fingers now and I hope it works well.

Thank you
