I have built a new server (SERVER 2008 R2) and installed Full SQL standard 2008 on it. I now have 75 cals to add but i am not sure where or how to do this. Previously i used Licensing manager when installing CALs for TS etc.... but i presume SQL has a different licensing location ?

For SQL and WIndows "domain" CALs you don't need to add them in Windows Server 2008. You need to only have the invoice with licence numbers ordered. That's all. In case of the audit, you need to show them all invoices with SQL, Windows Server CALs bought

Only TS/RDS requires to install special licencing role where you put all those informations.
