So, I will be travelling down to High Wycombe ( half an hour on the train) on Saturday, with my boy, to see the massive Owls play Wycombe Wanderers.
We were hoping to be going there on the back of a seven game unbeaten run but alas last night we came unstuck in a crazy 15 minute spell where we conceded three against Carlisle. We ended up with 10 men and losing 3-2.
So at least the pressure to extend the run is off. We will have a desire to bounce back. I think last night was only a small blip as we could have been a few goals up by half time and we finished strongly, unfortunate not to snatch a late equaliser.
On Saturday we will be without the 'goal machine', Gary Madine after his sending off. His first yellow last night meant he would miss this game anyway. But this gives Chris O'Grady and Ryan Lowe their first chance to show what their partnership might offer. Lowe has hardly played due to injury since joining the Owls and will be keen to establish himself as a first choice striker.
So, how long will my train journey home seem like?
