Android based cell phone keeps only a limited number of texts before deleting them
I recently purchased a Samsung Galaxy S2 (Samsung-SGH-1777) with AT&T running Android 2.3.4. I recently noticed that the phone has starting deleting older texts to a particular contact (with whom the most texts have been send and received). The more texts that are sent and received from this contact, the more earlier texts are deleted.
I want the phone to keep all texts from the very beginning Iike my iPhone did. Is there a setting that I'm missing that allows this? Or is there an alternative app that has this functionality? Had I known that the phone was going to start deleting older texts, I wouldn't have purchased the it.
Thanks in advance.
