I have a W2K3 machine running as a VMware VM. I am trying to change the local administrator password. It lets me change it but when I log out and try to log in it tells me it's incorrect.  I tried changed the password a few times and each time I get the same message.

Just to check if you have created another test local administrator and see if the password can be change on the test account ?

    Accepted Solution

I fixed my own issue. I disabled the administrator account and then enabled it. From there I was able to login with the password I created.
