LAN/Network Audit

I am doing a network audit today, and in order to save time I would like to run a tool which will gather as much information as possible for me. I really love the report generated by this tool, however i am looking for freeware.

Please let me know if you have any suggestions.

Have a look at spiceworks if you want FREE FREE.

But you gets what you pays for.
as far as network auditing tools, the standards are pretty much nessus, metasploit and nmap.

some of the featuresets that they provide are easy to use, others are not for the feint of heart. with some practice and time spent using them you can become quite adept, but there is a learning curve on some of the utilities, and results are not always provided to you in the most efficient manner, but it is nothing that some creative scripting cannot fix.

considering you are doing the audit today, i would suspect that you dont have enough time to really learn the utilities, so i would honestly end up grabbing something that you know, trust and can use in short order for the audit today and then find something that more suits your needs long term
You can even check products from Manage Engine
