Our management has requested that we being auditing all file access as soon as possible.
They want to have a record of which user accessed which file at what time.
This needs to be applied to our entire shared filesystem
I've read that you can enable auditing on individual files, can you enable this on an entire filesystem using Group Policy?
Does it dump these logs into the windows security log or?
What tools do you guys use in house for monitor and record Windows event logs?
