This filter code WOULD work if I was using a regular DBgrid... what do I need to change to get it to work on my DB banded grid?

with gvMilling.DataController.Filter do begin
          Clear;
          Root.BoolOperatorKind := fboAND;
          AddItem(Root,gvMillingJobSchedule,foGreaterEqual, '0', 'Department Start Range');
          fci := Root.AddItemList(fboOR);
          fci.AddItem(Root,gvMillingMil_Total_PercentComplete, foLess, '1', '100%');
          fci.AddItem(Root,gvMillingHoursPerJob, foGreater, '0', 'Not Blank');
          Active := True;
          end;
