dominio 8.5.2 how to Add email alias to all user

Hi, I'm new to domino, I come from exchange world and in exchange it's easy to setup a policy that state wich email alias I want my user to have using variable and I would like to do the same in domino so that all current user get the alias I define and also new user would receive these alias also.

So far I figured how to define the primary email addres but I would like to be able to add more email alias without doing it manually for each user.
Currently I have set my email adress to firstname lastname and separated by a dot but I would like to add the email alias in addition to the primary email defined: first letter of firstname lastname (ex: john smith would be jsmith@mydomain.com ) but I want to keep the default email address as I have them defined currently so that both email address would be valid

John.smith@mydomain.com
jsmith@mydomain.com

The way I started doing it was to manually edit each user and under internet address to add the new email alias I want but I'm sure there is a way to define multiple alias for everyone.

Hope someone here has the knowledge to help me do that.

You can add anything you like to the full name field and that will be accepted however many combinations will be accepted anyway.

Open your domino directory (names.nsf) from the server
Open the View menu, Hold down Control Shift and choose the Goto option.
 (this allows you to see hidden views)
Now select the ($Users) view.

This shows you the different combinations that are there by default.

The normal setup is that the internet address field is the one you want to use for sending mail from.  Any other addresses for incoming go in the full name field.

This gives quite a good explanation of how it selects which address to use for outgoing etc.

Ok, I read the link and I think I understand but I still need a way to change the fullname of everybody as the boss decided he want to have the first initial lastname@mydomain.com to be the default outgoing email address but I still want to keep the firstname.lastname@mydomain.com email address for people to use.
So I'm back to how can I add the format I want to the full name field for everyone so that it's recognized when people send email to this address?

OK you could write a quick agent.  Add a new agent that works on selected documents.

Open names.nsf
Create | Agent
Give it a name "Fix addresses" or something
You want to choose Formula language

FIELD Fullname:=@unique(fullname:(firstname + "." + lastname+"@yourdomain.com"):InternetAddress);
FIELD InternetAddress:=@left(firstname;1)+lastname+"@yourdomain.com"

Then open People view, select a few docs to start with and check is OK, then select all and do the same.

It will copy the current internet address and firstname.lastname@yourdomain.com into the fullname field (only if not already there) and change the Internet Address field to FLastname@yourdomain.com
