fully automated download using webbrowser

Hello guys,

I am currently developping on a C sharp application, using System.Windows.Forms.WebBrowser in order to navigate in website and retrive some datas.
I am trying to download a file off a website and save it on a local machine.
My main objective is that process has to be fully automated. On the website concerned the file download can be started by clicking a button that calls a form
“Do you want to open or save this file?” dialog.
I definitely do not want to be manually clicking “Save as”, and typing in the file name.

I look for a method in the web but the only one I found consists in using url. In my case it's not possible cause the website create file dynamically and then open/save dialog comes.
Is there a way to accomplish that?

Thank you in advance! form1 that I want to avoidcapture2.bmp

If they are all the same file type then in FF the first time you download you get the dialog, an you can set the option for it not to ask you for files of the same type in the future.  You will need to specify the folder where you want it to download to.  You will also want to turn off the display of the down load window in the download manager.

Thank you Cobol dinosaur but my application should be launched from different local computers and it should be annoying to configure all the browsers.

Then I don't think there is any way around it.  It comes down to a security issue.  The user of each computer has to authorize the security bypass with a configuration change.  Anything else would be a big security hole.

It's not the kind of answer I like to give, but when the answer is negative, I don't think there is any benefit in ignoring a question because I prefer to give solutions.  Sorry this one did not help you very much.
