Oracle 11g installation on Windows 7.

I am a beginner in databases.
And need to install oracle 11g on windows7. offcourse there is documentation I could follow to do it but I am assisting a senior in a project and therefore need a quick go through but comprehensive guide to do it.

    1. goto the page ""
    2. click on the radio button and accept the license agreement
    3. see whether you want 32-bit or 64-bit
    4. download the files
    5. extract them
    6. after you extract them, click on setup and go from there.

    Unfortunately there is no 'quick install' for Oracle.  There are WAY to many options that can be installed and configured.

    First:  what Oracle Product are you licensed for? Enterprise, Standard, etc...

    Also, are you licensed for and do you need Partitioning, Spatial, ???

    Oledb, ODP.Net, ODBC???

    It can go on and on...

    Then there is how to configure/set up the database.

    All that said there is always as suggested above:  run setup.exe and keep clicking 'Next' until you get to 'Finish'.
