Transparent background for a form

Hi

I have a form to which I have set FormBorderStyle to None.

I have added a background image. This image is an oval. What I would like to happen is that the window appears as an oval i.e. the region around the oval would be transparent so the form would appear as an oval window.

I have tried to make the region around the oval transparent using Gimp but it doesn't seem to work when I use it in the form.

Is there a way I can do this using VB.net code?
