Data mining typically mean looking for relationships in data that are not obvious.
Looks like you are going from a store aspect.
You would expect sales of sunblock to rise and fall with sales of swim suits. Sales of snow shovels to rise and fall with bags of rock salt/snow melt.
Data mining looks for correlations that are not obvious.
Stores look at this sort of thing all the time: If we put 'Pepsi' on sale is Toilet Paper sales correlated?
Not sure if you are missing a comma between beer and formula or you are looking for "beer formula".
But what items rise and fall with the sales of diapers?
