MS Exchange 2007. Unable to delete secondary email address.

I have an MS SBS 2008 server with Exchange 2007. I have some users with secondary email addresses, hosted else-ware. I'm unable to delete them. I can highlight the address, press the red X and hit apply, they disappear, but then reappear a few moments later. How can I delete them permanently?

I've attached a screen shot of what I'm talking about. The highlighted address is the one that I am trying to get rid of.

Thanks in advance for your assistance.

    Hi Mapalaska,
I saw the screenshot you've provided. Deselect the option "Automatically update the E-mail addresses based on e-mail address policy" and try to remove the secondary SMTP. It'll work.

Yes this issue is caused by the automatically update option. Of course if you wish to make this change globally to all users in your organisation then you need to amend the recipient policy to not apply that style address.
