[sg] Eggsploding eggs!

My current quick breakfast consists of oatmeal [the "quick" kind] and an egg cracked into the uncooked mixture.
1 minute & 30 seconds in the microwave and I gots me a hot, nutritious breakfast.
I have discovered a drawback, though.
It seems that the egg yolk has a skin that keeps a fair amount of pressure enclosed.
The past few mornings have seen a small eggsplosion of yolk/oatmeal into my face when I fork the yolk.
Luckily it's not hot enough to be more than a tiny bit painful, but it is messy and oatmeal & egg splatter is hard to get off the ceiling [and out of my eyebrows].
I guess you could say the yolk is on me [ shell I continue with the puns? ]
Can someone eggsplain how I can avoid getting yolk all ova me?
Omeletting you all have free reign, but please don't poach someone else's answer. Make it easy to understand; I don't want to have to scramble to understand the solution.
