windows 7 - new ISUS - often cursor movements get freezed , inturn ICONS getting resizing +ve/-Ve

I newly purchased the notebook of above atttributes, very often my mouse move(using fingers) getting freezed. when it is so happens, further mouse movements causes the desktop Icons either getting bigger / smaller.
I suspect there may be sort setting needed to behave normally.
as i am newbie to windows 7, please advice the steps required for that.

after restarting PC again it is started working. that is why i am suspecting there could be some settng needed to resolve the issue..

The Icon size change can be done by holding in the "Ctrl" key in and scrolling up or down, either the crtl gets stuck or you are causing it unintentionally. If the key is not fully operational I would suggest returning the notebook to the supplier/retailer for a replacement given that you have the required warranty.
