IIS 7.5 08 R2 Redirect

Hi guys,

We have this site in our IIS www.longname.com. We have a new website in IIS www.short.com. We want to do a redirect from the www.longname.com to www.short.com.  We heard you can do that from URL Rewrite which seems complicated and HTTP Redirect doesnt seems to work.

Can you guys help me with this.

Thanks

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Why not simply publish www.longname.com as having the same IP address as www.short.com in DNS?

I see.  Well here are a couple articles on the subject.  It's really not too difficult.
