Help Displaying Directories in Apache

Ok here goes:

I have WAMP installed on a windows 2008 R2 server. for those of you who don't know what WAMP is it is an open source self contained Apache, MySQL & PHP development Platform. feel free to check it out (http://www.wampserver.com/en/)

i'm running WAMP server 2.1 this includes
Apache 2.2.17
PHP 5.3.5
MySQL 5.5.8

in my main httpd.conf file i have the following snipet regarding my main www directory:

<Directory "d:/wamp/www/">
    #
    # Possible values for the Options directive are "None", "All",
    # or any combination of:
    # Indexes Includes FollowSymLinks SymLinksifOwnerMatch ExecCGI MultiViews
    #
    # Note that "MultiViews" must be named *explicitly* --- "Options All"
    # doesn't give it to you.
    #
    # The Options directive is both complicated and important. Please see
    # http://httpd.apache.org/docs/2.2/mod/core.html#options
    # for more information.
    #
    Options FollowSymLinks
    #DirectoryIndex index.php index.html
    #
    # AllowOverride controls what directives may be placed in .htaccess files.
    # It can be "All", "None", or any combination of the keywords:
    # Options FileInfo AuthConfig Limit
    #
    AllowOverride all

    #
    # Controls who can get stuff from this server.
    #

# onlineoffline tag - don't remove
    Order Allow,Deny
    Allow from all
</Directory>

inside of this www folder, i have a folder called "Attorney" this is a secured folder that has no index files, so i want to see a directory listing. this folder has the following .htaccess file:

AuthName "Restricted Area"
AuthType Basic
AuthUserFile D:/wamp/.htpasswd
require valid-user
Options +Indexes

inside this folder i have  several directories, however when i view this page (see attached screenshot) there is two things wrong.
1. the images are not found (icons)
2. no files/folders are listed

 Example of the two issues
any help with this issue would be greatly apreciated, thanks!

Efficient way to get backups off site to Azure

brainomiteAuthor Commented:
this is the whole httpd.config file, including the change you suggested earlier.

#
# This is the main Apache HTTP server configuration file. It contains the
# configuration directives that give the server its instructions.
# See <URL:http://httpd.apache.org/docs/2.2> for detailed information.
# In particular, see
# <URL:http://httpd.apache.org/docs/2.2/mod/directives.html>
# for a discussion of each configuration directive.
#
# Do NOT simply read the instructions in here without understanding
# what they do. They're here only as hints or reminders. If you are unsure
# consult the online docs. You have been warned.
#
# Configuration and logfile names: If the filenames you specify for many
# of the server's control files begin with "/" (or "drive:/" for Win32), the
# server will use that explicit path. If the filenames do *not* begin
# with "/", the value of ServerRoot is prepended -- so "logs/foo.log"
# with ServerRoot set to "C:/Program Files/Apache Software Foundation/Apache2.2" will be interpreted by the
# server as "C:/Program Files/Apache Software Foundation/Apache2.2/logs/foo.log".
#
# NOTE: Where filenames are specified, you must use forward slashes
# instead of backslashes (e.g., "c:/apache" instead of "c:\apache").
# If a drive letter is omitted, the drive on which Apache.exe is located
# will be used by default. It is recommended that you always supply
# an explicit drive letter in absolute paths to avoid confusion.

#
# ServerRoot: The top of the directory tree under which the server's
# configuration, error, and log files are kept.
#
# Do not add a slash at the end of the directory path. If you point
# ServerRoot at a non-local disk, be sure to point the LockFile directive
# at a local disk. If you wish to share the same ServerRoot for multiple
# httpd daemons, you will need to change at least LockFile and PidFile.
#
ServerRoot "d:/wamp/bin/apache/apache2.2.17"

#
# Listen: Allows you to bind Apache to specific IP addresses and/or
# ports, instead of the default. See also the <VirtualHost>
# directive.
#
# Change this to Listen on specific IP addresses as shown below to
# prevent Apache from glomming onto all bound IP addresses.
#
#Listen 12.34.56.78:80
Listen 80

[Thu Oct 27 09:58:07 2011] [error] [client 127.0.0.1] File does not exist: C:/Dev, referer: http://localhost/attorney/

As you see -  apace is searching "C:/Dev" - not "d:/wamp/www/attorney"
To ensure this assumption, place few files/directories into c:\dev\ and look through browser.

Alias /icons/ "C:/Dev/Projets/WampServer2-64b/install_files_wampserver2/bin/apache/Apache2.2.17/icons/"

<Directory "C:/Dev/Projets/WampServer2-64b/install_files_wampserver2/bin/apache/Apache2.2.17/icons">

If this is pointing to the wrong place, then I'm assuming at one time you installed this in C:\Dev\Projets, but regardless, if its wrong, both lines (the Alias and the Directory) need to be changed in order for you to see icons in the folder.

Do a Find->Files/Folders on your system for "apache_pb2.gif", and that will likely give you the path that you need to change the above lines to.

i did just notice the following error (simalar) repeated several times:
i realize now that my subfolders under attorney each had their own .htaccess file that was malformed (password file was specified as if my site was still hosted on an old linux server)
i corrected one of those files, and now that folder is displayed! yay

so thank you for helping know where to look for issues, now all i have to do is fix the icons and i should be good to go. my first clue is i think the icons are pointing somewhere on the c: as xterm is saying

xterm, you are awsome, i found them at "D:\wamp\bin\apache\Apache2.2.17\icons"
i do believe that the creator(s) of Wamp may have left the code in there with a bug as i never EVER install anything on the C: unless i absolutly have to. by changing those two directories, the icons  now apear

Pilson helped by providing me a place to look for reasons code wasn't working thus leading me to figure out the issue for why folders are not being listed properly. nor would i have thought to look at or post the httpd-autoindex.conf file.

xterm caught the configuration problem in the httpd-autoindex.conf file.
