"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

What attachment, how big, where from, on a domain? Stand alone? Pop3?

A clue to the question would help with the answer., you need to give some details.

Check in Outlook options, Trust Center for the following: Attachment Handling and Automatic Download. I uncheck the settings in those two items.

The attachment is a pdf file from one sender to our company president.  He gets the message but not the attachment.  The same sender sent to me and I got everything with no issue.  When I forwarded to pres, he got it with no issue.  Outlook 2007 client Exchange server 2003.

Where in Outlook options would I find Trust Center?

JamesGoldenCommented:
You can find it under Tools --> Trust Center.

However I don't know that will help you.  Give it a shot, but I think somehow it is bieng blocked either by AV on his machine or it might have somehow gotten in the blocked ext list in Outlook.

Are you both running the same version of Outlook and connect to the same mailserver?

JamesGoldenCommented:
To check if the ext is blocked in Outlook you can dowload the free program Outlook tools:

http://www.howto-outlook.com/products/outlooktools.htm

That program will give you the ability to see/modify extensions that may be blocked in Outlook.

Yes, we both are running XP and Outlook 2007 and connect to the same Exchange 2003 server.  I did find the the Trust Center - thanks,

Trust Center is in Tools, just above Options.  ... Thinkpads_User

This proposed solution did not offer a solution but something to look into.

Thank you. I will continue to look around as well, but I can receive any attachment just fine. Check also with your ISP in case there is some issue there. ... Thinkpads_User
