System Info:
Compaq SR5505F
Windows Vista
Sata 160GB Drive

I have formatted the system and trying to re-install vista.  I have gone into the bios and have set to boot from dvd/cd drive but it won't do it.

Any other thoughts on what else I can try.

Does your drive have a recovery partition? When you first start your computer, try tapping the F11 key to access the HP Recovery Manager.
