Checking sybase login failure

One of users complaining his not able to login, how do I check > is there any error msgs being logged if failed login occured ?

    Which Sybase product and version?

    By default no messages are logged in ASE, ASA or IQ.

    You *can* setup (assuming Sybase ASE) auditing, and then audit all login attempts.

    Or you can have this user forward you the error message they get. :)

    Also have a look at their login using "sp_displaylogin" because that will show you if their account is currently locked.

    Also, depending on your ASE version, you may be able to use this:

       sp_configure "log audit logon failure", 1
