Outlook versions that work with Exchange 2010 Online Archive
According to the info that I can gather, the only two Outlook products that allow visibility to the online archive are Outlook Standalone and Professional Plus. This is a major headache for us, we are a small business (under 75 users) and normally just purchase the small business (home and business) or in the past we had some seats of Standard edition. All we need is Outlook, Word, Excel & PP.
Dilemma- buying Professional Plus is considerably more expensive since we have to pay for apps that are not needed by our users such as Publisher and Access. Buying Home and Business then Outlook Standalone is cheaper but a headache and possibly will lose some functionality.
Why M$? This is an awesome feature, it's not enough that you need an Exchange Enterprise Cal in order to use it, but you also need to spend more on Outlook or office suite as well.
Looking for some feedback on what other people are doing with this or some suggestions.
Thanks!
