spoiling rate of meat in air tight package



if 2 meat (salmon) is left in room temperature for a day, do both decay/rot at the same rate:

meat in air tight packing?

Most of the things that cause meat to spoil (http://ag.ansc.purdue.edu/meat_quality/spoiled_meat.html) are much more likely to happen and/or will happen at a much higher rate in the open container.

By "air-tight" container, do you mean a sealed container with plenty of air in it or one that has almost no air (vacuum sealed).

The open container will spoil fastest, followed by the sealed container with air in it. The vacuum sealed package will outlast the others by quite some time.
