How to Change the List Views to show only certain columns (field)

Hello Everybody - I created a list in SharePoint 2010 to allow multiple content types along with several view types.  I specified in which columns I'd like to use in the content and view types but somehow it's not showing up correctly.  Please see below.  When I go to the "Debit Card" view, and click on add new item all of the columns come up even though I specified to only show certain columns.  Can you please let me know where I need change for the columns to show up correctly in the view?

Add New Item in Debit View

The default content type is Item which contains everything. It doesnt matter that you are selecting to create a new item from a limited view - it's the content type you choose for the new item that determines what the form shows.

Set your content type as default or select that type of new item when creating one.

Hi - Thanks so much for the quick reply.  That is what exactly what I'm trying to do is set  the content type the user chooses for the new item that determines what the form shows.  How can I add the content types to be included in the form?

Hello,

you choose the content type by clicking the New Item drop-down on the ribbon.

hi teylyn - thanks for working with me on this issue.  Here's what I'm trying to do:
When users go to the New Item drop-down on the ribbon, and click A content type, I'd like only 5 fields to show up on the forms,   When users go and pick B content type,  they can only fill 7 fields etc.  Currently my issue all of the fields show up it doesn't matter if A, B, C etc content type...
What do I need to change in the settings so the content type you choose for the new item determines what the form shows.

I can't re-create that issue. When I define different content types for a list, only those fields show up in the form when I create a new list item with that content type.
