DNS Query Failure

Hello,

We are running a SBS 2011 and using it as our DNS server.  For some reason emails to two domains seem to return DNS query failure or failed DNS lookup now and then.  To resolve this I have to restart the DNS server and then everything is fine for a while.

Any ideas?

Your assistance is much apprecaited.

Posting an example of the errors you are seeing would be helpful. Several causes could exist. Do the failures seem to be *all* queries, or do they seem to be a subset, perhaps foreign top level domains?

It is always @shaw.ca and mymts.net emails addresses that are getting bounced back..Those are the only ones.  I don't have an example right now as everything is still working since the last restart of the DNS server.

A .ca is a potential candidate for issues. And once the issue surfaces, it will cause others to fail if any DNS server in the chain is also impacted. I strongly suspect this is your issue. An easy fix.
