I have hundreds of Windows 7 clients on my Windows domain. Currently all have Adobe Acrobat v9.4.1 installed. I need to update them all to version 9.4.6. I know we will probably have to do a man ual install on each station so can anyone tell me how I can compile the 5 or 6 updates between version 9.4.1 & 9.4.6 together?

    Accepted Solution

wantabe2--Download this PDF file and run a search for the word "cumulative"  (no quotes).
You will learn which updates are cumulative and which are not.  For example page 19 and perhaps 53ff.

    Assisted Solution

    Write a batch file.....
This includes the initial 9.4 installer that was set with Adobe customization wizard and created an .mst file. If you already have reader installed, than just look at the updates .msp files.
The custimize package we turn off auto updates and cloud services.

    @echo off
Title Acrobat Reader 9.4.0 with updates to 9.4.5

    pushD "\\pathtofile"

    echo installing Adobe Reader 9.4.0
    msiexec.exe /i AcroRead.msi /passive TRANSFORMS=AcroRead.mst
echo Installing Adobe Reader Update 9.4.2
    msiexec /P AdbeRdrUpd942_all_incr.msp /qn
echo installing Adobe Reader Update 9.4.3
    msiexec /P AdbeRdrUpd943_all_incr.msp /qn
echo installing Adobe Reader Update 9.4.4
    msiexec /P AdbeRdrUpd944_all_incr.msp /qn
echo installing Adobe Reader Update 9.4.5
    msiexec /P AdbeRdrUpd945_all_incr.msp /qn

    echo Installation complete
